My plan for this blog is to create a "toolkit" that teachers can use to incorporate service learning into their lessons. Hello!

My name is Tasha Grant and I am a student in Southern Oregon University’s Master of Arts in Teaching program. As part of my coursework I am researching service learning and creating a toolkit for my classmates and me that will guide us in using this type of learning in our future classrooms.

I am sending you this brief survey, with the approval of your district, to help me learn about service learning in Southern Oregon’s elementary classrooms. I define service learning as integrating classroom instruction with community service and then reflecting on the process afterwards. Whether or not you use service learning in your teaching, I am interested in your thoughts!

While your participation is completely voluntary, I greatly appreciate your response. The survey will take between 5-10 minutes. All responses will be kept confidential, and can be completed anonymously.

As a bonus, all responses received before March 1st will be entered in a drawing for a gift certificate to Porter’s.
